Kling 4.0 Flash: Specs, Early Access, and API Availability

Checked October 2, 2026. Kling 4.0 Flash is available through a limited rollout in Kling's own app. The official launch post names Ultra Yearly subscribers for access starting September 28; the current feature page tells users to sign in to check eligibility. Flash supports videos up to 20 seconds at 720p, according to that feature page. The full Kling 4.0 is scheduled for a wider October rollout. Official announcement · Current feature page

AI Fruit does not currently offer Kling 4.0 or 4.0 Flash. Its current Kling 3.0 option is a separate model. Below, we separate the announced upgrades, access in Kling's app, and API availability so you can decide what to try now and what to wait for.

The cover is an editorial illustration, not a Kling 4.0 Flash output. The images below document the announcement and AI Fruit's current interface; this is a release explainer, not a hands-on review.

Kling 4.0 Flash vs. Kling 4.0

The two names refer to different tiers within the new generation. Kling positions Flash for frequent creation, while the full version emphasizes longer videos and more control. The official pages support the following comparison; these are announced capabilities, not results from our own testing.

Topic Kling 4.0 Flash Full Kling 4.0
Current access Limited rollout in Kling's app Wider rollout planned for October 2026
Maximum single generation 20 seconds 30 seconds
Resolution described by Kling Up to 720p Up to 4K
Positioning Faster, frequent creation Longer scenes and more detailed direction
Multi-keyframe control Do not assume the full model's controls apply Up to 10 keyframes announced

Sources: Kling feature page and launch announcement. The launch post labels 10-bit HDR output and video extension up to two minutes as forthcoming; this article does not treat those as verified, generally available features.

For a short social clip, Flash's published duration and resolution may fit your output requirements. If your brief depends on a longer continuous take, specific keyframe control, or higher-resolution delivery, check the full model's actual availability and controls before planning production around it. This is a planning distinction, not a measured quality or speed ranking.

What the full Kling 4.0 announcement adds

The full release focuses on three kinds of control. These claims belong to full Kling 4.0 and should not be copied into a Flash feature checklist.

Motion and sound. Kling describes improvements in continuous action and complex camera movement, plus stereo audio and closer lip synchronization. For dialogue or moving-camera scenes, those are relevant capabilities to test once you have access; the announcement alone cannot establish how reliably they work on your material.

References and editing. The announcement describes up to 15 combined reference assets and targeted changes to elements such as expressions, camera movement, style, and backgrounds. The practical aim is to preserve more of a scene while changing a specific part.

Longer storytelling. A single generation can reach 30 seconds, with up to 10 keyframe images to guide important moments. That gives creators more room to specify how a sequence develops rather than describing only its opening image.

All three areas are drawn from the official launch post. We have not run a Flash-versus-4.0 benchmark and make no claim about comparative output quality, generation time, or cost.

Where can you use Kling 4.0 Flash today?

Kling's own app: limited early access

The September 30 announcement identifies Ultra Yearly subscribers as the group receiving Flash access from September 28. The current feature page continues to describe a limited rollout and asks users to sign in to check access. Confirm the model is available in your account before buying a plan specifically for it. Kie: Coming Soon, not a confirmed callable API

As checked on October 2, the Kie model market labels Kling 4.0 Flash (Coming Soon). Kie also has a promotional Flash page, but the existence of that page does not establish a working API. We have not verified a callable Flash model identifier, request schema, or successful Flash generation through Kie.

Replicate: no public Flash listing found

The Kling model publisher's Replicate directory lists models including Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Omni, and Kling 3.0 Motion Control. We did not find a public 4.0 Flash model or corresponding API reference there on October 2. This describes the public catalog checked on that date, not private access or a future release.

For an application integration, wait for the provider's actual model identifier, supported inputs, pricing, and a completed generation. Access inside Kling's consumer app does not establish access through a third-party API.

Can you generate Kling video on AI Fruit while you wait?

Yes, using Kling 3.0, not Kling 4.0 Flash. AI Fruit's current model selector provides the available video models and generation settings. Its pricing options include one-time credit packs, so a subscription is not required for that existing workflow. Check the selected model and credit cost before generating. AI Fruit's online video generator interface with the model selector showing Kling 3.0 among the available video models

AI Fruit’s model selector, checked October 2, 2026: Kling 3.0 is available; Kling 4.0 Flash is not integrated.

If your goal is to try Flash specifically, use the access checks above. If your immediate goal is to make a video with a currently supported model, open AI Fruit's video generator and select Kling 3.0. This is an alternative workflow, not a way to access Flash.

What would change this guide?

The next useful milestones are wider access in Kling's app, a documented and callable provider API, and an actual AI Fruit integration. They are separate events. A provider launch by itself would not mean the model is already available in AI Fruit.

For now, treat Flash as a limited-access model with published 20-second, 720p capabilities. Use the provider's live catalog to check API availability, and AI Fruit's live selector to check what you can generate here. This guide's availability snapshot is October 2, 2026.
